Abstract:
The product was designed just like a standard toilet-seat with only one
difference it glows in the dark. It is manufactured out of glow in the
dark material. An additive is required to be compounded with the material
to achieve this aspect of the design. The toilet/scat will not require
any batteries or electricity. The glows in the dark properties are
charged by the sunlight referred to as phosphorescence. The molded in
place plastic hinges eliminate screws and other hardware to hold the seat
together. The ergonomic concave seat design provides comfort while
sitting. The material used for this product will be Polypropylene FDA
approved is known for its toughness. The glow additive comes in granule
form and is added to a plastic ram material by weight % and is blended
and mixed.
This material is completely FDA approved and compatible with Polyolefin
plastics that include PP.Claims:
1.) The toilet seat glows in the dark.
2.) The material chosen is polypropylene known for toughness and being germ resistant.
3.) The seat is your standard toilet seats injected with chemiluminescent and phosphorescent. Phosphorescent is a type of photo luminescence, which is charged by exposure to light and emits a form of fluorescence light. Chemiluminescence is created via a chemical reaction excited to fluorescence and then returns to a ground state. The toilet seat will then have to be illuminated by a phosphorescent paint or pigment that can be charged during the day so that it glows at night.
Description:
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
[0001]I, Keith Jordan, have invented a new contrivance that will glow in the dark after being exposed to natural or artificial light for a period of time.
[0002]The glow in the dark properties of the material from which the toilet seat and the toilet cover are made will be charged by artificial or natural light shining on these items.
[0003]FIG. 1. Is a view of the toilet seat with the cover raised.
[0004]I claim: the ornamental utility contrivance for a glow-in-the dark contrivance as shown. "I hereby certify that this correspondence is being deposited with the United States Postal Services as first class mail in an envelope addressed to: Mail Stop, Commissioner for Patents, PO Box 1450. BRIEF SUMMARY
[0005]This invention was created to prevent people from having to use light at night to go to the bathroom and cutting electricity cost. No electricity or batteries needed to illuminate the seat which is money saving. The polypropylene plastic used is a germ resistant plastic therefore causing a cleaner germ resistant bathroom. The invention was created for all bathroom environments. This product should be considered a green product, and should be legislated to be installed in all bathrooms creating a hug saving in dollars for our economy.
