Description:
BACKGROUND
[0001] 1. Technical Field
[0002] The disclosure relates to a water flow adjusting member and a water-cooling system with the same.
[0003] 2. Description of Related Art
[0004] With the continuing development of electronic technology, electronic components in computers generate more heat during operation than previously. The heat should be dissipated as quickly as possible. A common method for dissipating the heat is to use a water-cooling system to dissipate heat from the electronic components. Different electronic components generate different amount of heat. However, water flow of the water-cooling system for different electronic components is mostly identical, which is often ineffective to dissipate heat from a large electronic component that produces substantial amount of heat.

[0009] The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of examples and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to "an" or "one" embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.
[0010] Referring to FIG. 1, an exemplary embodiment of a water-cooling system is provided to dissipate heat for a first electronic component (not shown), and a second electronic component (not shown). The water-cooling system includes a first cooling member 10 attached to the first electronic component, a second cooling member 20 attached to the second electronic component, a heat sink 30, a container 40, two adjusting members 50, and a plurality of flexible tubes 60.
[0011] The container 40 includes an outlet 42, and an inlet 44.
[0012] The inlet 44 is connected to the heat sink 30 by a corresponding one of the flexible tubes 60. The outlet 42 is connected to the adjusting members 50. The adjusting members 50 are respectively connected to first ends of the first cooling member 10 and the second cooling member 20 by two corresponding flexible tubes 60. Second ends of the first cooling member 10 and the second cooling member 20 are connected to the heat sink 30.
[0013] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, each adjusting member 50 includes a connection member 52, a closing member 54, a valve 56, and a fastening member 58.
[0014] The connection member 52 is substantially tube-shaped, and includes a first connector 522 and a second connector 524 at opposite ends of the connection member 52. The first connector 522 and the second connector 524 each define a plurality of inner screw threads, for being respectively connected to the corresponding flexible tube 60 and the outlet 42. A center of the connection member 52 defines a screw hole 520. The screw hole 520 communicates with inner spaces of the first connector 522 and the second connector 524. An axis of the screw hole 520 is substantially perpendicular to an axis of the first and second connectors 522 and 524.
[0015] The closing member 54 is made of plastic and is hollow cylinder-shaped. The closing member 54 defines two opposite through holes 542 in a sidewall of the closing member 54. A plurality of protrusions 544 extends from an inner surface of the sidewall of the closing member 54.
[0016] The valve 56 includes a smaller operation portion 562, and a bigger hollow connection portion 564 extending from a first end of the operation portion 562. [0018] In assembly of the adjusting member 50, the closing member 54 extends through the screw hole 520 to be rotatably received in the connection member 52. The connection portion 564 of the valve 56 is received in the closing member 54. The protrusions 544 of the closing member 54 are locked in the latching holes 568 to fasten the valve 56 to the closing member 54. The through holes 542 of the closing member 54 are aligned with the through holes 566 of the valve 56. The through holes 542 and 566 are aligned with the first connector 522 and the second connector 524. The operation portion 562 extends through the through hole 584 of the fastening member 58 to be exposed out of the fastening member 58. The fastening portion 582 of the fastening member 58 engages with the screw hole 520 to mount the fastening member 58 to the connection member 52. The flange 581 of the fastening member 58 covers the screw hole 520 and resists against the connection portion 564.
[0019] In use, according to heat dissipation demand of the first and second electronic components, the operation portion 562 of each valve 56 is operated to drive the corresponding connection portion 564 to rotate relative to the corresponding closing member 54. The through holes 542 and 566 of each adjusting member 50 are offset from the first connector 522 and the second 524, to adjust flow of cooled water entering the first cooling member 10 and the second cooling member 20.
