Abstract:
A magazine pouch for use with magazines. The magazine pouch will include
rear, front, and side surfaces with at least one of those surfaces being
of elastic material. Furthermore, the magazine pouch will feature a
series of different sized compartments that can accommodate various
caliber magazines. Each compartment will also feature an elastic bottom
strap that will hinder the magazine from sliding down and out of the
pouch.Claims:
1) A magazine pouch for use with magazines comprising; a rear surface, a
front surface, elastic linings, and a bottom surface.
2) The magazine pouch from claim 1 wherein; 3) There are a series of various sized compartments between the front and rear surfaces 4) The various sized compartments created by at least one semi rigid surface and one elastic lining 5) The compartments are orientated and sized to fit the appropriate caliber magazine preventing movement without a pulling force 6) A pulling force being the force a user must use to remove the magazine from the compartment 7) The compartment having at least one bottom surface 8) The bottom surface situated to prevent downward movement of the magazine.
Description:
FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a pouch for the storage of various caliber ammunition magazines.
BACKGROUND
[0002] As used throughout this document, the term magazine refers to an ammunition storage and feeding device. Extra magazines are carried by users to allow for quick reloading of a firearm, and acts as a feeding mechanism for the rifle. These extra magazines are usually carried in pouches attached to or in close proximity to the user. Magazine pouches are usually constructed as a pocket with four sides and a bottom side. Furthermore, magazines are situated horizontally when stored in the pouch to facilitate an upward motion upon removal from the pouch. The issue arises when a user chooses to utilize different caliber firearms during the same shooting session. A user would need to use a different magazine pouch to store and secure each different caliber extra magazine. Therefore, it is a desired object of the present invention to provide a magazine pouch designed to store different caliber magazines.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0003] The present invention provides a pouch for use with extra magazines. The pouch is actually a series of pouches ranging in size from large to small compartments that can allow the different caliber magazines to be inserted into the appropriately sized compartment. Each of the different compartments includes a rear surface, front surface, side surfaces, and a bottom surface. Furthermore, the magazine pouch includes elastic linings that act as a means to secure appropriately sized magazines in the pouch. The advantage of the elastic linings coupled with semi rigid surfaces is to provide the appropriate orientation, which is preferable to users, with the magazine and the front surface of the desired compartment. The features and advantages are inherent in the claimed apparatus and further disclosed or will become apparent to those skilled in the art from the following drawings and descriptions.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0004] The following descriptions are set forth and have been assigned numerical designations to enable the reader to understand the reasoning behind and the application of the present invention. Even though specific configurations are shown, it should be noted that these are merely for illustrative purposes.
[0005] FIG. 1 is a front view of the present invention, magazine pouch (1), showing the bottom surface (9) for securing downward motion, the large compartment rear surface (5), and the front surface (8).
[0006] FIG. 2 is an isometric illustration of the magazine pouch (1) showing the bottom surface (9), front surface (8), and large compartment rear surface (5).
[0007] Between the front surface (8) and the large compartment rear surface (5), there are a series of different sized compartments.
[0008] Beginning from the rear surface (5), and elastic lining (10a) situated to create a large compartment (2) between the rear surface (5) and the elastic lining (10a).
[0009] The next compartment, medium compartment (3), is created by the spacing between the medium compartment rear surface (6) and the elastic ling (10b).
[0010] Finally, the space between the front surface (8) and the elastic lining (10b) creates the small compartment (4).
[0011] All inserted magazines are then hindered from dropping downwards out of each compartment of the pouch by the bottom surface (9).
[0012] FIG. 3 is a bottom view of the present invention, magazine pouch (1), showing the front surface (8), rear surface (5), and the bottom surface (9).
