Description:
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
1. Field of Invention
[0001] The present invention relates to footwear and, more particularly, to footwear that includes a vamp having a portion spliced to a portion of an outsole.
2. Related Prior Art
[0002] Footwear appeals to customers with comfort, functionality and design. Conventionally, the design is focused on the vamp of footwear. The design may include colors, patterns, trademarks, etc. provided on the vamp. The functionality is focused on the materials of the insole and outsole of the footwear and the tread on the bottom of the outsole. There has not been any aesthetic unit that includes a portion of the vamp and a corresponding portion of the outsole.
[0003] The present invention is therefore intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in prior art.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0004] It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a footwear with an eye-catching aesthetic unit.
[0005] To achieve the foregoing objective, the footwear includes an outsole and a vamp connected to the outsole. The vamp includes at least one patch. The outsole includes at least one patch located near the patch of the vamp. The patches together provide the eye-catching aesthetic unit.
[0006] The portion of the vamp and the corresponding portion of the outsole are spliced to each other. The spliced portions of the vamp and the outsole together form the aesthetic unit on a side of the vamp and outsole of the footwear. Thus, the footwear is provided with an eye-catching spliced aesthetic unit.
[0007] Since the color or color pattern of the spliced portions of the vamp and the outsole might be different from that of the remaining portion of the vamp, splicing of difference colors or color patterns and/or materials may be made. Moreover, the spliced aesthetic unit may extend to the outsole from the vamp.
[0008] Other objectives, advantages and features of the present invention will be apparent from the following description referring to the attached drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0009] The present invention will be described via detailed illustration of two embodiments referring to the drawings wherein:
[0010] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a footwear according to the first embodiment of the present invention;
[0011] FIG. 2 is a side view of the footwear shown in FIG. 1;
[0012] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a footwear according to the second embodiment of the present invention; and
[0013] FIG. 4 is a side view of the footwear shown in FIG. 3;
[0014] FIG. 5 is a top view of the vamp of the footwear shown in FIG. 1; and
[0015] FIG. 6 is an exploded view of the footwear shown in FIG. 1.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0016] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the footwear 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes an outsole 10, an insole (not shown) supported on the outsole 10, and a vamp 20 connected to the outsole 10. The footwear 1 can be a sneaker as shown, a shoe, a boot or the like. The vamp 20 includes a patch 31. The outsole 10 includes a corresponding patch 32 adjacent to the patch 31. The patches 31 and 32 are made with a same color or color pattern. The color or color pattern of the patches 31 and 32 is different from that of the vamp 20 and the outsole 10. The patches 31 and 32 are made of a same material. The material of the patches 31 and 32 is different from that of the vamp 20 and the outsole 10. The patches 31 and 32 are located on an internal flank of the footwear 1, an external flank or both of the internal and external flanks.
[0017] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the patches 31 and 32 of the footwear 1 according to a second embodiment of the present invention are located near a rear portion (or "heel") of the footwear 1. The second embodiment is otherwise identical to the first embodiment.
[0018] Referring to FIG. 5, a vamp sheet 13 is made with a cutout 131. The patch 31 is inserted in the cutout 131 of the vamp sheet 13. A section of the edge of the patch 31 is connected to a section of the edge of the vamp sheet 13 around the cutout 131 by sewing for example. The vamp sheet 13, which is connected to the patch 31, is made into the vamp 20 by a vamp-forming machine. The vamp 20 and the patch 31 are connected to an insole by sewing or adhesion, for example.
[0019] Referring to FIG. 6, the outsole 10 is made with a cavity 101 in an internal flank for example. The patch 32 is inserted in the cavity 101. The patch 32 is connected to the outsole 10 by adhesion for example.
[0020] As described above, the footwear 1 is provided with an aesthetic unit that includes a portion (i.e. the patch 31) of the vamp 20 and a corresponding portion (i.e. the patch 32) of the outsole 10. The color or color pattern of the patches 31 and 32 is different from that of the vamp 20 and the outsole 10. The material of the patches 31 and 32 may be different from that of the vamp 20 and the outsole 10. Thus, the aesthetic unit extends to the outsole 10 from the vamp 20.
[0021] The present invention has been described via the illustration of the embodiments. Those skilled in the art can derive variations from the embodiments without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the embodiments shall not limit the scope of the present invention defined in the claims.
