20080307831 | Floating mount bottom plate holder in a glassware forming machine - A glassware mold bottom plate mounting arrangement in a glassware forming machine includes a floating ring captured by a cap plate on a base for limited lateral movement with respect to the base and the cap plate. A hollow spud is rigidly secured to and extends from the ring. A cooling wind passage in the base opens through the hollow spud, and a vacuum passage in the base opens through the ring at a position spaced from the spud. A glassware mold bottom plate is removably telescopically received over the ring and the spud. The bottom plate has a central air passage received over the spud, an annular recess received over the ring, and a peripheral air passage that opens into the annular recess such that the central and peripheral air passages open to the cooling wind and vacuum passages in the base through the spud and the ring respectively. The spud and the ring preferably have external seals in respective sliding sealing engagement with the central air passage and the annular recess in the bottom plate. There preferably are face seals between the base and the floating ring, and between the ring and an undersurface of the cap plate. | 12-18-2008 |
20110226018 | GLASSWARE FORMING MACHINE POWERED MOLD HANDLING DEVICE, AND FORMING MACHINE FEATURING SUCH A DEVICE - In a glassware forming machine, a mold is moved to and from a work position by a device having a supporting structure connected to an overhead frame of the machine; a gripping head for engaging the mold; a cable transmission having a cable operated by a winch and connected to the gripping head to move the gripping head to and from the supporting structure in a substantially vertical direction; and a powered articulated arm connected to the gripping head and to the supporting structure to exert substantially horizontal forces on the gripping head. | 09-22-2011 |
20120103022 | CRUCIBLE ASSEMBLY FOR MANUFACTURING SILICON INGOT INCLUDING SUBSIDIARY CRUCIBLE - The present invention relates to a crucible assembly for manufacturing a silicon ingot including a subsidiary crucible, and, more particularly, to a crucible assembly for manufacturing a silicon ingot including a subsidiary crucible, which is used in an apparatus for manufacturing a silicon ingot by refining a silicon raw material, and which can manufacture a silicon ingot having a high effective height because it includes a standard crucible and a subsidiary crucible so that it can be charged with a large amount of silicon raw material. The crucible assembly for manufacturing a silicon ingot includes: a standard crucible which melts a silicon raw material and whose upper portion is opened; a standard crucible supporter which surrounds the standard crucible to position the standard crucible in place; a subsidiary crucible including open upper and lower portions, which is provided at a bottom thereof with an inclined surface and which has a size smaller than that of the standard crucible, the inclined surface being in contact with the upper surface of the standard crucible; and a subsidiary crucible supporter which surrounds the subsidiary crucible to position the subsidiary crucible in place. | 05-03-2012 |
20150075225 | MOULD-SUPPORTING SYSTEM FOR A MACHINE FOR FORMING HOLLOW GLASSWARE - A mould-supporting system for a machine for forming hollow glassware includes a supporting structure, and a first carriage and a second carriage, which are slidably mounted, respectively, on a first bar and a second bar of the supporting structure, and, moreover, are slidably mounted on a third bar of the supporting structure, common to the two carriages, the first and second carriages carrying, respectively, a first mould-carrier arm and a second mould-carrier arm. Mutual displacement of the first and second carriages is controlled between a position where they are set close to one another and a corresponding position where they are set apart. The first and second carriages have a first tubular portion that engages, respectively, the first and second bars via first sliding means, and a second tubular portion that engages the third bar via second sliding means. The second sliding means enable adjustment of the position of the second tubular portion in a direction transverse to the third bar | 03-19-2015 |
20150075226 | MOULD-SUPPORTING SYSTEM FOR A MACHINE FOR FORMING HOLLOW GLASSWARE - A mould-supporting system for a machine for forming hollow glassware, includes a supporting structure, a first carriage and a second carriage, which are slidably mounted respectively on a first bar and a second bar of the supporting structure, and carry, respectively, a first mould-carrier arm and a second mould-carrier arm. A mutual displacement of the first and second carriages between a position where they are set close to one another and a corresponding position where they are set apart is controlled. On one between the first and second carriages, means are provided for guiding the other between the first and second carriages during their mutual displacement. | 03-19-2015 |
20160075588 | ARTICULATED BENDING SUPPORT - A process for gravity bending of a glass sheet on a support including a chassis, a first frame and a second frame, the second frame being articulated and including a mobile lateral part that passes from an open position to a closed position by an articulation during the bending procedure, the bending of the sheet beginning on the first frame while the second frame is in the open position, and finishing on the second frame in the closed position, the sheet passing from the first frame to the second frame during the bending procedure as a result of the relative vertical movement of the first and second frame and of the raising of the mobile part of the second frame, the contact area of the first frame with the glass sheet located in a vertical line with the articulation being above the articulation at the instant the latter is closed. | 03-17-2016 |
