20100215424 | LOCKING DEVICE WITH A SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF USE - A locking device includes a shape memory alloy actuator that engages a locking pin to release the pin and unlock the device it is engaging. Upon heating the shape memory alloy member, it returns to a predetermined shape, which has a length shorter than its non-heated length. As the shape memory alloy actuator shortens, it pulls the locking pin at least a pre-determined distance to release the locking pin from engagement with the device it is locking and into engagement with a pin release member. The pin release member holds the locking pin in the unlocked position until the pin release member is moved from engagement with the locking pin. Once moved, the pin release member disengages from the locking pin and the pin is moved back into its original, locked position. The shape memory alloy actuator and pin release member are also returned to their original position. | 08-26-2010 |
20110070017 | BICYCLE OPERATING UNIT CONNECTOR - A bicycle operating unit connector is provided with a first attachment portion and a second attachment portion. The first attachment portion includes a curved mounting surface with an opening that is detachably attached to an outwardly facing surface of a band part of a clamp portion of a brake operating unit by an adjustable connection for changing a relative position of the connector with respect to the clamp portion of the brake operating unit. The second attachment portion extends from the first attachment portion. The second attachment portion includes a hole that is configured to be detachably attached to a shift operating unit. | 03-24-2011 |
20120082506 | ROTARY HUB FOR PULLEY SYSTEMS - A rotary hub for being operatively coupled to a hub of a pulley to facilitate manual rotation of the pulley. The rotary hub involves an upper plate and a lower plate, with the upper plate operatively coupled to and offset from the lower plate. The lower plate is configured for being operatively coupled to the pulley hub. The upper plate has apertures defined about an outer ring thereof, with a plurality of the apertures configured for being engaged with in rotating the rotary hub. | 04-05-2012 |
20120134739 | TRANSVERSE WEB FOR AN ELEMENT OF A LINE GUIDING DEVICE - The invention relates to a transverse web for connecting two side parts of an element of a line guiding device, comprising a toggle lever closure ( | 05-31-2012 |

20110008098 | LOCKING ACTUATOR STEM AND ROD END BEARING APPARATUS FOR USE WITH FLUID VALVES - Actuator stem and rod end bearings having locking mechanisms are described. An example apparatus for use with a control valve actuator includes a rod end bearing having a bearing retainer and a shaft portion extending from the bearing retainer. The apparatus also includes an actuator stem having a first end to be operatively coupled to a diaphragm plate of the control valve actuator and a second end to be coupled to the rod end bearing. A locking mechanism coupled to the actuator stem or the rod end bearing prevents the actuator stem and the rod end bearing from decoupling when the actuator stem is coupled or de-coupled to the diaphragm plate. | 01-13-2011 |
20120275844 | SECURING MEMBER - A securing member includes a flat base portion, a flat top board portion which is supported by a pair of top board supporting portions erected on the base portion, a long hole which penetrates through the top board portion and of which both ends are closed, a bolt having a head which does not pass through the long hole, and of which shaft is inserted through the long hole in a state where the head is located lower than the top board portion and is to be inserted through a supporting hole provided on a supporting member of a solar battery module, a head insertion hole through which the head of the bolt passes, penetrates through the top board portion, and communicates with the long hole, securing holes which are located on a line obtained by projecting a center line of the long hole, and penetrate through the base portion. | 11-01-2012 |

20110318089 | COUPLING STRUCTURE FOR A CASING - A coupling structure for coupling first and second halves into a casing, includes a first coupling element projecting outward from an inner surface of the first casing half and formed with a detachment hole and a second coupling element projecting outward from an inner surface of the second casing half and for engaging with the first coupling element. Insertion of a detachment tool via an opening in the casing and the detachment hole to abut against the second coupling element results in inward bending of the second coupling element with respect to the first coupling element, thereby disengaging the second coupling element from the first coupling element, hence the first casing half disengages from the second casing half. | 12-29-2011 |
20120034020 | EASILY DETACHABLE COUPLING STRUCTURE FOR A CASING - A coupling structure couples first and second casing parts together. The first casing part is formed with a detachment hole. The coupling structure includes one resilient engaging hook projecting from the first casing part and a coupling member disposed between the first and second casing parts and formed with first and second engaging grooves. The resilient engaging hook hooks the first engaging groove in a right direction. The coupling member has a pushing element tending toward the detachment hole. One rigid engaging hook projects from the second casing part and engaging the second engaging groove in a left direction. Manually leftwise movement of the pushing element in the left direction results in simultaneous bending of the resilient engaging hook in the left direction so as to disengage the rigid engaging hook from the second engaging groove, thereby permitting removal of the second casing part from the first casing part. | 02-09-2012 |
