20080258095 | Adjustable Disc Mechanism for Gas Regulator - A gas regulator comprises an actuator and a valve body, wherein the actuator includes a valve disc with a cylindrical shroud that extends beyond the valve disc to direct the flow of fluid through the regulator toward the outlet of the valve and away from the actuator. This configuration advantageously reduces the amount of pressure drop experienced by the actuator during normal operation, thereby minimizing a phenomenon known as “droop.” At least in one embodiment, the shroud can be adjustable and/or removable to allow the regulator to be tuned for specific applications. | 10-23-2008 |

20100276339 | PROCESS AND CATALYST FOR THE HYDROCONVERSION OF A HEAVY HYDROCARBON FEEDSTOCK - A method of hydroprocessing a heavy hydrocarbon feedstock using a hydroprocessing catalyst having specific properties making it effective in the hydroconversion of at least a portion of the heavy hydrocarbon feedstock to lighter hydrocarbons. The hydroprocessing catalyst comprises a Group VIB metal component (e.g., Cr, Mo, and W), a Group VIII metal component (e.g., Ni and Co) and, optionally, a potassium metal component that are supported on a support material comprising alumina. The alumina has novel physical properties that, in combination with the catalytic components, provide for the hydroprocessing catalyst. The hydroprocessing catalyst is particularly effective in the conversion of the heavy hydrocarbon feedstock. The alumina is characterized as having a high pore volume and a high surface area with a large proportion of the pore volume being present in the pores within a narrow pore diameter distribution about a narrowly defined range of median pore diameters. The support material preferably does not contain more than a small concentration of silica. The alumina component is preferably made by a specific method that provides for an alumina having the specific physical properties required for the hydroprocessing catalyst. | 11-04-2010 |

20090062115 | AMORPHOUS SILICA-ALUMINA COMPOSITION AND A METHOD OF MAKING AND USING SUCH COMPOSITION - Described is a novel amorphous silica-alumina composition having a high ratio of pore volume contained in large pores to pore volume contained in medium to small pores. The amorphous silica-alumina composition also may have the characteristic of a strong aluminum-NMR penta-coordinated peak representing greater than 30% of the total aluminum and a method of making such novel amorphous silica-alumina composition using a pH swing preparation method. | 03-05-2009 |
20090062582 | AROMATICS HYDROGENATION CATALYST AND A METHOD OF MAKING AND USING SUCH CATALYST - Disclosed is a composition useful in the saturation of aromatics contained in a hydrocarbon feedstock. The composition includes a support composition having a high macroporosity of greater than 51 percent. The support composition comprises an amorphous silica-alumina having unique properties. | 03-05-2009 |
20100152033 | AMORPHOUS SILICA-ALUMINA COMPOSITION AND A METHOD OF MAKING AND USING SUCH COMPOSITION - Described is a novel amorphous silica-alumina composition having a high ratio of pore volume contained in large pores to pore volume contained in medium to small pores. The amorphous silica-alumina composition also may have the characteristic of a strong aluminum-NMR penta-coordinated peak representing greater than 30% of the total aluminum and a method of making such novel amorphous silica-alumina composition using a pH swing preparation method. | 06-17-2010 |

20100293142 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING NEEDED PORTIONS OF A DATA FILE BETWEEN NETWORKED COMPUTERS - A system and method for communicating a data file between networked computers is disclosed. The method includes the operation of requesting a data file consisting of a plurality of file blocks to be transferred from a source computing device to a destination computing device. A hash signature for each of the plurality of file blocks of the data file is sent from the source computing device to the destination computing device. It can be determined which of the file blocks of the data file are already located on the destination computing device based on the hash signature of each file block. The remaining file blocks can be transferred from the source to the destination computing device. The file can be constructed at the destination computing device from the plurality of file blocks. | 11-18-2010 |
