20150354779 | High Visibility Termination System and Method - Some embodiments provide a lighted cable termination assembly that includes a stand designed to be supported by a pipe and a substantially circular lens in communication with the stand. The lens includes a proud surface extending outwardly therefrom. A plurality of light emitting components are disposed under the lens. The proud surface of the lens provides an obstructed viewing angle of less than about 11° of the lighted cable termination assembly when installed on a 10 cm diameter pipe. | 12-10-2015 |

20150142343 | Thermal Age Tracking System and Method - Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for tracking the thermal age of a self-regulating heating cable. Over a time period, current and voltage data for a cable signal are collected, from which spectral information is extracted. The spectral information has a frequency component and an amplitude component. The cable signal is processed to extract a line frequency signature that includes the electrical system's line current frequency and at least some of its harmonics. A ratio of the amplitudes of at least two of the odd harmonics of the line current frequency is calculated. The ratio is compared to an aging curve indicating the thermal age of the cable as a function of the odd-harmonic ratios. The curve may be obtained in a laboratory setting or in the field by characterizing a cable with zero hours of use. The characterizing may include aging the cable to determine the curve. | 05-21-2015 |

20150231313 | MEDICAL TUBE CLEARANCE DEVICE - A device for clearing obstructions from a medical tube includes an enclosure having an interior and an exterior, the enclosure comprising a distal opening for providing access to the interior of the enclosure. The device further includes a spool provided within the enclosure that is rotatable about an axis and an elongated guide member coupled to the spool such that rotation of the spool causes the guide member to wind or unwind about the spool. The device further includes a drive mechanism that is operable to rotate the spool within the enclosure without compromising a sterile field within the enclosure. | 08-20-2015 |
20150231361 | MEDICAL TUBE CLEARANCE - A device for clearing obstructions from a medical tube, such as a chest tube, is disclosed in various embodiments. In embodiments, the device features a clearance member that is formed to match a cross-section of a medical tube. Still further, the clearance member can have a plurality of branches, each branch configured to clear a respective lumen in a partitioned region of a medical tube. In this manner, the clearance member may clear obstructions from individual lumens of the partitioned region of the medical tube. Device for actuating a clearance member to clear obstructions within a medical tube are also disclosed. Methods of clearing a medical tube of obstructions are also disclosed. | 08-20-2015 |

20150162174 | DETECTORS AND METHODS OF USING THEM - Certain embodiments described herein are directed to detectors and systems using them. In some examples, the detector can include a plurality of dynodes, in which one or more of the dynodes are coupled to an electrometer. In some instances, an analog signal from a non-saturated dynode is measured and cross-calibrated with a pulse count signal to extend the dynamic range of the detector. | 06-11-2015 |
