20110009343 | MODULATORS OF AMYLOID AGGREGATION - Compounds that modulate the aggregation of amyloidogenic proteins or peptides are disclosed. The modulators of the invention can promote amyloid aggregation or, more preferably, can inhibit natural amyloid aggregation. In a preferred embodiment, the compounds modulate the aggregation of natural β amyloid peptides (β-AP). In a preferred embodiment, the β amyloid modulator compounds of the invention are comprised of an Aβ aggregation core domain and a modifying group coupled thereto such that the compound alters the aggregation or inhibits the neurotoxicity of natural β amyloid peptides when contacted with the peptides. Furthermore, the modulators are capable of altering natural β-AP aggregation when the natural β-APs are in a molar excess amount relative to the modulators. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds of the invention, and diagnostic and treatment methods for amyloidogenic diseases using the compounds of the invention, are also disclosed. | 01-13-2011 |

20090239528 | ROUTING MESSAGES BETWEEN CELLULAR HANDSETS AND A MULTI-HANDSET CORDLESS TELEPHONE SYSTEM - Systems and methods are provided for routing data messages between a cellular telephone and a cordless telephone system having a plurality of cordless handsets configured to communicate with a single cordless base station when in range. Messages are received at the cordless base station via a first radio frequency transfer protocol. The message is transmitted to the cordless base station from the cellular telephone after the cellular telephone has received the message from a cellular network. The cordless base station transmits the message to a desired one of the plurality of cordless handsets via a second radio frequency transfer protocol. The desired one of the plurality of cordless handsets is chosen based on predetermined message routing settings. | 09-24-2009 |

20100165900 | SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ENHANCING WIFI REAL-TIME COMMUNICATIONS - Systems and methods of enhanced real-time communications between WiFi devices. In one embodiment of the present invention a method for enhanced payload protection in a WiFi system includes transmitting multiple copies of data packets in successive frame body transmissions. In another embodiment, a method for enhanced communications over a WiFi link includes examining a unit ID packet to determine a destination of a data payload when errors are detected in IP and/or MAC headers. If a destination is determined, the packet is corrected and forwarded to the device based on the unit ID determination. In another embodiment, a method for enhanced real-time communications in a WiFi network includes establishing a communications frame that includes an active timeslot, preferably based on U-APSD, for a WiFi device to use for transmission of successive audio data packets transmitted between the WiFi handset and AP. | 07-01-2010 |

20130254440 | DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TRANSMITTING USB TERMINATION SIGNALS OVER EXTENSION MEDIA - Devices and methods for providing SuperSpeed USB connections across an extension medium are provided. An upstream facing port device (UFP device) and a downstream facing port device (DFP device) are connected by an extension medium, and communicate via an extension protocol. The UFP device and the DFP device include switchable receiver termination circuitry. The receiver termination at the UFP device is enabled upon determining that a USB device coupled to the DFP device supports SuperSpeed communication, and the receiver termination at the DFP device is enabled upon determining that a host device coupled to the UFP device supports SuperSpeed communication. | 09-26-2013 |
20140122752 | USB 3.0 Link Layer Timer Adjustment to Extend Distance - Methods and devices for transmitting SuperSpeed information between a host device and a USB device via an extension medium are provided. Link partner relationships are established between the host device and an upstream facing port device, between the USB device and a downstream facing port device, and between the upstream facing port device and the downstream facing port device. While the link partner relationship between the upstream facing port device and the downstream facing port device is substantially compliant to the USB 3.0 Specification, the link partner relationship may use a configurable link layer acknowledgement timer to compensate for delays in transmission over the extension medium. | 05-01-2014 |
20140181325 | Systems and Methods for Exchanging USB Information With Selected Remote Devices - Devices, systems, and methods for selectively pairing an upstream facing USB port device (UFP device) and a downstream facing USB port device (DFP device) over a network are disclosed. A controller device sends pairing commands to a selected UFP device and a selected DFP device, which then establish a connection with each other over a network. The controller device may subsequently cause the UFP device and/or the DFP device to remove the existing pairing and to instead pair with a different UFP device or DFP device. A pairing between a UFP device and a DFP device allows a host device coupled to the UFP device and a USB device coupled to the DFP device to communicate via a USB-compatible protocol. | 06-26-2014 |
