20090319796 | Gaming machine certificate creation and management - Methods and systems for creating and managing certificates for gaming machines in a gaming network using a portable memory device are described. A gaming machine creates a certificate signing request which is stored on a portable memory device at the machine by an operator. The memory device is handed over to a certificate authority (CA) security officer at the casino and is coupled with an appropriate CA server. A certificate batch utility program on the server downloads and processes the CSRs. A certificate services program on the server issues gaming machine certificates according to the CSRs. In one embodiment, the certificates are uploaded onto the memory device, along with copies of certificate authority server certificates, including a root CA certificate. The CA security officer hands the memory device to the casino floor operator. At the machine, the operator inserts or couples the device and software on the machine identifies and downloads its certificate based on the certificate file name. The machine also downloads copies of the CA server certificates which it may use in a certificate chain validation procedure. In another embodiment, the certificates are placed in a shared file on the CA server and retrieved by the gaming machines over a gaming network. | 12-24-2009 |

20100164324 | SELF-SENSING DIELECTRIC ACTUATOR SYSTEM - A self-sensing dielectric actuator system. The system has a deformable dielectric material between two electrodes. A relatively low frequency actuating signal is applied to the electrodes and thereby causes the dielectric material to deform, moving at least one electrode. A relatively high frequency sensing signal applied across the electrodes indicates how far the electrode has moved. The system may be calibrated by using a laser or other sensor to mechanically measure the amount of movement. An object may be displaced a desired distance by coupling the object to the electrode and using the sensing signal to measure how far the object has moved. | 07-01-2010 |

20150199505 | Obscuring Usernames During a Login Process - In general, the subject matter described in this document can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products. A computing system receives a token that was specified during a process for logging into an account. The computing system determines whether the token matches any of a plurality of tokens that are assigned to a respective plurality of accounts. The computing system identifies, in response to determining that the token matches a particular token that is assigned to a particular one of the plurality of accounts, a username for the particular one of the plurality of accounts. The computing system provides information to cause a computer display to present the username and multiple other usernames in an obscured manner. The computing system receives an indication that user input selected the username. The computing system receives a password. The computing system provides authorization to log into the account. | 07-16-2015 |
