20090145621 | POWER TOOL - A power tool having a cooling system, comprises: a motor housing | 06-11-2009 |
20100176678 | ELECTRIC MOTOR - An electric motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator has a housing and a single ceramic permanent magnet disposed in the housing. The magnet has a C-shaped cross section. During assembly the magnet is resiliently deformed to allow the magnet to be inserted into the housing. The inner diameter of the housing is less than the outer diameter of the magnet in its relaxed state such that once inserted in the housing the magnet is kept resiliently deformed by the housing. The magnet thus generates a radial force acting on the inner surface of the housing which results in the magnet being firmly retained in the housing. A slot is formed between opposing circumferential ends of the magnet. The slot extends from one axial end of the magnet to the other axial end. Preferably, a spacer is pressed into the slot and an interlock structure is arranged between the spacer and the housing to prevent the magnet from moving relative to the housing. | 07-15-2010 |
20100225198 | ELECTRIC MOTOR - An electric motor has a pair of brushes for transferring power to windings of a wound rotor by making sliding contact with a cylindrical commutator. Each brush has a body with a pair of end surfaces, and a contact surface extending between the end surfaces and configured to slidingly contact a cylindrical circumferential surface of the commutator. The extending direction of the contact surface is inclined relative to the axial direction of the commutator, and the contact surface is V-shaped when viewed in the extending direction thereof. | 09-09-2010 |
20120313471 | THRUST BEARING ASSEMBLY - A thrust bearing assembly for supporting an end surface against an axial load, includes a first part with a chamber; a second part disposed in the chamber and having a load surface facing the end surface; and a third part fixed with the first part and spaced from the second part. A reservoir for storing lubricant is formed in the chamber between the second part and third part. A narrow passage communicates the reservoir with the load surface to allow the lubricant to flow from the reservoir to the load surface to lubricate the interface between the load surface and the end surface when the axial load rotates. | 12-13-2012 |
