20150258639 | Mixed Oxide Materials for Helium Leak Tight, Oxidation Resistant and High Strength Joints Between High Temperature Engineering Materials - A high strength joint material. A material for a joint between a ceramic body and a metal body. A material for a joint between a ceramic body and a ceramic body. | 09-17-2015 |
20150260316 | System and Method for Producing Chemicals at High Temperature - A system for producing chemicals, such as, ethylene or gasoline, at high temperature (above 1100 degrees C.) having a feedstock source. The system includes a chemical conversion portion connected with the feedstock source to receive feedstock and convert the feedstock to ethylene or gasoline. The conversion portion includes a coil array and a furnace that heats the feedstock to temperatures in excess of 1100° C. or 1200° C. or even 1250° C. or even 1300° C. or even 1400° C. A method for producing chemicals, such as ethylene or gasoline, at high temperature. | 09-17-2015 |
20150260322 | Method for Joining Ceramics to Ceramics or Ceramics to Metals, and Apparatus - An assembly including a ceramic body. The assembly comprises a tungsten coupling attached to the ceramic body with a first joint that forms a first helium tight seal between the ceramic body and the tungsten coupling and where the first helium tight seal maintains its integrity at a temperature over 400° C. The assembly includes a metal body attached to the tungsten coupling with a second joint that forms a second helium tight seal between the metal body and the tungsten coupling and where the second helium tight seal maintains its integrity at a temperature over 400° C. A method. A mixture. A coupling. | 09-17-2015 |

20120061269 | Method and apparatus for processing cigarette butts - A device to process cigarette butts has top and bottoms sections, one pivotably mounted on the other for rocking movement between open and closed positions. The bottom section has two access holes which are opened and closed by the rocking movement. When the holes are open, a user can insert a butt into one access hole and then can rock the top section, thus cutting the butt into a filter tip, and tobacco and paper materials. The tobacco and paper materials fall through a passage from the one access hole to the ground but do not cause a litter problem since they quickly biodegrade. The filter tips can be inserted into the second access hole into a storage space for later treatment and disposal. The bottom section has a thinned rear portion which allows increased rocking amplitude while minimizing the device thickness. | 03-15-2012 |

20100141208 | Energy Storage Module - A battery assembly having batteries connected in series to form rows and columns of battery cells into packs that combine the energy of multiple batteries. The battery cells are joined together to form columns of cells connected mechanically together by an exterior connection sleeve, and mechanically and electrically connected together by a conductive epoxy joining the end of one cell to the end of an adjacent cell in series. The columns of cells are mounted and held in place by racks, with bolts passing through the racks to form a sandwich structure that secures the position and orientation of the cells and columns, and that maintains the electrical connection between joined cells. Bus bars at the end of the columns of each rack are joined together to electrically connect the columns to each other, and to provide two terminals of the pack through which power is supplied to and from the cells. Perpendicularly disposed to the direction of the columns are a series of conductive bands that join adjacent cells together along rows of cells. | 06-10-2010 |

20120076336 | Hearing Aid Positioning System And Structure - A hearing aid includes a relatively rigid shell which holds hearing aid electronics and one or more flexible, shape-retaining filaments attached to the hearing aid shell. The filament(s) extend(s) out a proximal side of the hearing aid shell having a shape which interacts with the user's ear anatomy such as the conchae bowl. The shape determines an insertion depth of the hearing aid shell into the user's ear canal, and a spring action biases the hearing aid toward the desired insertion depth. The hearing aid supported by the filament(s) provides an open, unoccluding position in the ear canal. | 03-29-2012 |
20120237068 | Soft Concha Ring Behind-The-Ear Hearing Aid - A hearing aid has hearing aid electronics including the microphone, battery and amplifier in a behind-the-ear housing, with a flexible tube extending from the behind-the-ear housing to a concha-based suspension structure. The concha-based suspension portion is flexible and bears off a tragus contact area, an antitragus contact area and an antihelix contact area. Based on forces generated from these concha bowl contact areas, the tube is suspended in a centered position within the ear canal in an unoccluded fashion making little or no contact with the wall of the ear canal. An annulus of the suspension portion provides an open concha skin surface, which can naturally reflect sound down the generally open ear canal. | 09-20-2012 |
20140105438 | Hearing Aid Positioning System And Structure - A hearing aid includes a relatively rigid shell which holds hearing aid electronics and one or more flexible, shape-retaining filaments attached to the hearing aid shell.
