20140139365 | SYSTEM FOR RNS BASED ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL CONVERSION AND INNER PRODUCT COMPUTATION - A system is proposed for forming the inner product of an input signal having a number of signal entries, with a pre-known vector. Each signal entry is represented in an RNS format. The residue for each modulus is represented as a string in which the number of components taking a first value is equal to the residue. Corresponding components of the strings for different input entries are used to obtain a summation value, and the summation values are accumulated. Since the components of the string are not associated with weight values, the accumulation of the summation values can be performed without using a scaling accumulator. Furthermore, an ADC is proposed which uses the input signal to generate an RNS representation of the signal based on a plurality of moduli. For each modulus, there is a corresponding Residue Number System (RNS) converter which includes a number of zero-crossing-based folding circuits equal to the modulus, and a comparator for each zero-crossing based folding circuit. The output of the comparators is used to form the RNS representation. This ADC is efficient in terms of the number of comparators it uses. Optionally, the RNS representation may be converted into a different digital representation. | 05-22-2014 |

20150210857 | USE OF FEEDSTOCK IN CARBON BLACK PLASMA PROCESS - A method of making carbon black. A method of making carbon black is described including combusting feedstock with plasma in an apparatus having a series of unit operations with individual capacities. The individual capacities of the unit operations are substantially balanced by replacing at least part of the feedstock with a feedstock having a molecular weight heavier than methane. This results, among other things, in increased utilization of the individual capacities of the unit operations and increased overall throughput. | 07-30-2015 |

20110314449 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ESTIMATING EFFORT FOR MAINTENANCE OF SOFTWARE - The present invention provides a method, a system, and a computer program product for determining an effort associated with the maintenance of software. The method, the system, and the computer program product enable receiving values corresponding to predefined factors, which are segregated into corrective factors, preventive factors, perfective factors, and adaptive factors. A corrective effort is determined based on the corrective factors and predefined rules. Thereafter, a preventive effort is determined based on the preventive factors, the predefined rules, and the corrective effort. Thereafter, a perfective effort is determined based on the perfective factors, the predefined rules, and the corrective effort. Subsequently, an adaptive effort is determined based on the adaptive factors, the predefined rules, the corrective effort, the preventive effort, and the perfective effort. A total effort is then generated based on the corrective effort, the preventive effort, the perfective effort, and the adaptive effort. | 12-22-2011 |

An application model of a software application is generated which comprises modeled components and technology stack information. The modeled components correspond to functional and design aspects of the software application. The application model is generated by dragging and dropping multiple components into corresponding modeling perspectives defined in a visual modeling environment. Descriptors are generated for the application model which are logical representations describing each of the modeled components. Further, the descriptors are generated from application model object of the application model. Furthermore, technology templates are identified based on the technology stack information in the application model. The technology templates are predetermined templates comprising scripting languages for automatically transforming the application model into one or more technologies. Code related to the software application is generated based on the descriptors and the identified technology templates. | 02-27-2014 |
