20110125698 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING TASK SCHEDULING PROBABILITY - Provided is a method of determining task scheduling probability. More specifically, the method includes establishing a set of task attributes. A database of prior task vectors in accordance with the set of task attributes then also provided, wherein each prior task vector representing a prior scheduled task. A new task is received having at least a subset of the task attributes. For this new task, a new task vector is generated based on the new task attributes. The new task vector is compared with the prior task vectors and the differences are recorded. The probability of successful scheduling is then evaluated based on the aggregate differences for each attribute. A system operable to perform the method is also provided. | 05-26-2011 |

20090077055 | Personalized Plant Asset Data Representation and Search System - A process control system uses an asset data and search expert to collect data, or status information, pertaining to assets of a process plant from various sources or functional areas of the plant including. The collected information may then be accessed by a user through a user interface routine displaying a graphical user interface to that user's computer. The user may browse through status information on various assets, identifying them by device, unit, process, area, alert status, health, performance, or other data types. The asset data and search expert tracks user interaction with such plant data by, for example, tracking the types of search fields a user most frequently searches with or the type of information a user more frequently browses for. The expert automatically profiles this tracked information to develop user preferences that are later used in personalizing the reporting of asset data, personalizing searching for asset data, and personalizing the results of such searches. The expert may also automatically identify asset data that correlates with other asset data to present correlated asset data when the primary asset data is selected for viewing. | 03-19-2009 |

20090015022 | BACKPACK BASED SYSTEM FOR HUMAN ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND USE WHEN OFF THE ELECTRIC GRID - An electricity-generating backpack that is substantially lighter in weight, has the multiple springs replaced with one large spring whose spring constant can be adjusted in the field in seconds, and replaces a DC generator with a brushless AC generator that permits approximately 70% generator efficiency and the generation of up to 20 W of electrical power by converting mechanical energy to electrical power. A device is provided that always removes some electricity, but not too much, as necessary to extract large levels of the electricity while controlling damping by providing electrical damping circuits including a DC-DC converter designed to emulate a desired load at its input terminals. Additional electricity generating E-MOD devices may be used for generating additional power by hooking an E-Mod device to a generator and to the backpack belt at the wearer's hip and includes a wand that fits against the wearer's femur so as to move through a range of motion as the patient walks. The system also provides multiple possibilities of electricity generation when not walking including a light-weight bicycle ergometer which can be mounted to the backpack frame and generate very high power levels (100 W). The electricity generated and stored by the backpack may be used to charge batteries and to power a number of devices that may be carried by the backpack, such as a Sterling Cooler System that is powered by the backpack's stored power to provide cooling power for cooling items carried by the backpack. | 01-15-2009 |

20080271693 | DEACTIVATING ROCKER ARM / MECHANICAL LASH ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM - A deactivating rocker arm mechanical adjustment system for internal combustion engines is provided wherein a lash adjustment screw which has eccentric cam and a feature by which the screw can be rotated using a tool. The adjustment screw is installed a valve actuation section of a split rocker arm wherein the cam end of the adjustment screw engages a feature of the cam follower section of the split rocker arm. When the lash adjustment screw is rotated, the design of the cam is such that the angular orientation of the valve actuation and cam follower sections is varied and in turn varies the distance or lash between the cam follower section latch pin and the receiving latch pin hole in the valve actuation section. The lash adjustment screw is rotated until a previously specified lash is obtained and then a jam nut is tightened to prevent rotation of the lash adjustment screw. Valvetrain component design may be altered that other than threaded means may be used to control the rotational orientation of the adjustment cam. An additional feature of the invention is that in the preferred embodiment, the lash adjustment screw provides a valve actuation section feature upon which a lost motion spring is mounted. | 11-06-2008 |
