20160037803 | DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING CROP RESIDUE INTO NUTRITIONAL PRODUCTS - A pressure device has a rifled barrel, a rifled end cap, a section clamped to the barrel, a circular flange welded to a threaded male pipe connection, a plate with holes or a cone, a female cap receiving the plate and aligning the holes to the rifling in the barrel, and the flange threadily engaging the cap, securing the plate. The rifled barrel provides shearing, increased pressure, and higher temperatures upon the passing crop residue. The increased surface area of the rifling grooves increases temperature and pressure between the crop residue and the barrel wall. The rifling, when misaligned, creates a pressure chamber that further breaks down the molecules in the crop residue. The crop residue then enters a popper device. The pressure in the popper device forces the crop residue through the holes of plate or around an encased cone, relieving excess pressure and producing a nutritional animal feed. | 02-11-2016 |

20140255343 | DNA VACCINE, METHOD OF INDUCING THE IMMUNE RESPONSE, METHOD OF IMMUNISATION, ANTIBODIES SPECIFICALLY RECOGNISING THE H5 HAEMAGGLUTININ OF AN INFLUENZA VIRUS AND USE OF THE DNA VACCINE - The object of the invention is a DNA vaccine, method of inducing the immune response, antibodies specifically recognising the haemagglutinin H5 of an influenza virus and application of the DNA vaccine. According to the invention, one or two-fold immunisation of hens with DNA vaccine containing a cDNA encoding the modified H5 haemagglutinin HA protein, i.e. with the deletion of the cleavage site between HA subunits (this provides for greater safety of the vaccines). Moreover, the encoding region of the HA is modified in such a way that protein production in the bird cells should achieve maximal yield. The main modification is codon optimisation for the hens and deletion of the site of proteolytic cleavage between subunits HA1 and HA2. | 09-11-2014 |

20090125013 | Fat retraction apparatus and method for using same - The present invention provides a method and apparatus for non-invasive reduction of excessive fat tissue by externally applying radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic (EM) waves adjusted to specific fat cells absorption frequency and electromagnetic propagation mode. Based on the performed experiments described further, the method and working apparatus has been invented that reduces fat layers without any medication, non-invasively through the intact skin. The invented method and apparatus facilitates the safe fat removal, and may lead to reduction and eradication of obesity and obesity associated diseases. | 05-14-2009 |

20150343330 | MEMBRANE SEPARATION AT HIGH TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL - A gaseous species can be separated from an aqueous donor mixture and absorbed in an aqueous recipient mixture using a membrane separation apparatus while maintaining a large temperature difference (e.g. greater than 30° C.) between the two aqueous mixtures. A composite membrane is employed which comprises a non-porous membrane adjacent a porous membrane. The non-porous membrane is permeable to the gaseous species. The porous membrane has a porosity greater than 50% and is hydrophobic. In one embodiment, the composite membrane is oriented such that the porous membrane faces the aqueous recipient mixture and is impermeable thereto at the recipient mixture pressure. The invention is particularly suitable for separating chlorine dioxide from chlorine dioxide reaction liquor and absorbing in chilled water. | 12-03-2015 |
