20080232262 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NETWORK TOPOLOGY DISCOVERY USING CLOSURE APPROACH - Improved network topology discovery techniques are disclosed. For example, an automated method for discovering a topology of a network, having a plurality of nodes, includes the following steps. A first traceroute process is performed for a given source node and one or more destination nodes listed in a target list so as to discover one or more paths through one or more intermediate nodes between the given source node and the one or more destination nodes. The one or more intermediate nodes discovered during the first traceroute process are added to the target list. A second traceroute process is performed for the given source node and the one or more intermediate nodes discovered during the first traceroute process so as to discover one or more paths through one or more additional intermediate nodes between the given source node and the one or more intermediate nodes discovered during the first traceroute process. When one or more additional intermediate nodes are discovered as a result of performance of the second traceroute process, the one or more additional intermediate nodes are added to the target list and the traceroute process is repeated to determine the existence of any further intermediate nodes. When no new intermediate nodes are discovered as a result of performance of the second traceroute process or a subsequent traceroute process, the nodes in the target list are identified as a target closure set for the given source node. | 09-25-2008 |
20110051715 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PLATFORM-INDEPENDENT VOIP DIAL PLAN DESIGN, VALIDATION, AND DEPLOYMENT - A system and method for designing a dial plan for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems includes generating an abstract dial plan design which is platform independent, the dial plan including rules for routing communications in a VoIP network structure. The dial plan is validated through simulations prior to deployment to evaluate the dial plan performance under simulated conditions. The dial plan design is translated to provide compatibility with a deployed network using platform specific configuration adaptors. | 03-03-2011 |
20110188649 | VOIP DIAL PLAN ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT BASED ON DESIGN PATTERNS - A computer implemented method that analyzes and improves a dial plan. A dial plan design template system receives an existing dial plan. The dial plan design template system models the existing dial plan as a directed graph. The dial plan design template system analyzes the directed graph to determine compliance with a set of edge rules. The dial plan design template system analyzes the directed graph to determine compliance with a set of connectivity type rules. | 08-04-2011 |
20140053072 | AUTOMATED, CONTROLLED DISTRIBUTION AND EXECUTION OF COMMANDS AND SCRIPTS - Distributed execution of commands and scripts may comprise a script execution manager having access to a library of executable objects comprising at least one or more of commands or scripts or combination of commands and scripts. A script execution console may be operable to present a graphical user interface for selecting an executable object from the library to execute and for selecting one or more managed computers, on which to execute the selected executable object. The script execution console may be further operable to present a dynamically updated collation of results from execution of the selected executable object. One or more script execution agents may be operable to run on the selected respective one or more managed computers and further operable to communicate with the script execution manager. | 02-20-2014 |

One or more script execution agents may be operable to run on the selected respective one or more managed computers and further operable to communicate with the script execution manager. | 02-20-2014 |
20140244816 | RECOMMENDING SERVER MANAGEMENT ACTIONS FOR INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEMS - One or more embodiments identify server management actions for resolving problems associated with one or more nodes in information technology infrastructure. In one embodiment, a node-ticket record for an information processing node associated with at least one problem ticket is generated. A set of node-ticket clusters is queried based on the node-ticket record. Each of the set of node-ticket clusters maps a set of server management actions to set of historical node-ticket records associated with the node-ticket cluster. The set of server management actions was previously performed to resolve at least one operational problem associated with at least one information processing node. At least one set of server management actions associated with at least one of the set of node-ticket clusters corresponding to the node-ticket record within a given threshold is identified based on the querying. | 08-28-2014 |
20150107960 | Sorting, Swapping, and Organizing Objects on Transfer Ball Grids - An approach is provided to sort objects on a surface of vertically-adjustable low friction transfer modules that are controlled by processors. A request to sort the plurality of objects in a horizontal direction is received with each of the objects is assigned a sort position. Sets of the vertically-adjustable low friction transfer modules are selected. The vertically-adjustable low friction transfer modules are arranged in a grid formation on the surface, with each of the sets of selected transfer modules being underneath a different object. The sets of selected transfer modules are vertically adjusted causing each of the objects to move independently from the other objects while avoiding the other objects in two or more dimensions formed on the surface. The result of the movement is that each of the objects is moved to a position respective of the other objects according to each object's respective sort position. | 04-23-2015 |
